PERSONAL SELECTION OF ADOPTIVE FAMILY:
The birth mother reviews pictorial and informational portfolios sent to us by prospective adoptive parents. The birth mother decides which family she wants to meet and work with in the adoption process.
CLOSED OR OPEN ADOPTION:
The birth mother decides on either a closed or open adoption. With all adoptions, photos and letters may be exchanged between the adopting parents and the birth mother through the Bado & Bado office.
Privacy is encouraged throughout the process to protect the birth mother and adoptive parents. Adoptions may occur in-state or out-of-state. Bado & Bado handles both.
Bado & Bado works with an experienced independent adoption worker to counsel the birth mother throughout the pregnancy and adoption process. She is an adopted child herself.
ADOPTION EXPENSES AND COSTS
With Court approval, financial aid is available to help the birth mother. Uncovered medical costs and private counseling may also be paid. The adoptive parents pay all the expenses of adoption.
The adoption process is based on our experience and the birth mother’s wishes.
1. Children may be placed in Oklahoma or in other states. The adoptive family is the birth mother’s choice.
2. Bado & Bado provides an adoption worker to assist the birth mother during the pregnancy, including 8 weeks after consent.
3. Court approved living expenses may be paid during the pregnancy for up to 8 weeks after consent. Categories are: food, rent, utilities, telephone, laundry, sundry items, transportation costs (such as gasoline, taxi, bus fare), and special needs due to the nature of the pregnancy. All living expenses, except maternity medical care, prescriptions, medical supplies and counseling, must be Court approved.
